We have been in existence for 50 years and we have been advocating for comprehensive civil legal aid. It is a pragmatic solution but it is not an alternative. We are still advocating for comprehensive legal aid and, again, I invite this committee to separately examine the issue of legal aid and not just in terms of the family courts. It is something that needs the forensic scrutiny of this committee.
