I see the value of alternative dispute resolution approaches and mediation and believe they could play an enhanced role. Last week we had a discussion about whether they were appropriate in instances where there was domestic violence of any form. Is Mr. Drakeford of the view that they are not appropriate in such circumstances? I know that he has a very strong view that generally they should be mandatory. Would he make an exception in such circumstances?
