It is absolutely in respect of custody. In terms of an asset split, a ratio of 50:50 is important but that is after the costs have been taken away. It is only a reference to the model in Sweden, Finland and the other Nordic countries. Obviously, we have to take issues of domestic violence out of the equation. They are separate. If there is a clean split where there are no other issues other than marital breakdown, there is no reason equality should not apply.
