Public Accounts Committee

2017 Annual Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General and Appropriation Accounts
Vote 34 - Housing, Planning and Local Government

9:00 am

Mr. John McCarthy:

No, they are statutorily obliged. There is a process in place under the Act and regulations that the audit report must go to the audit committee. It needs to be considered. It must also be sent to each local authority member. Clear oversight responsibility is in place.
