2017 Annual Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General and Appropriation Accounts
Vote 34 - Housing, Planning and Local Government
9:00 am
Mr. Conn Murray:
Absolutely, but it would not make a difference to the timelines that have to be followed. Even when we have gone through discussions, the situation can sometimes change subsequently. That is the practicality on the ground because we might not be dealing with the same families. I have referred to the particular issues that have to be dealt with. It takes a considerable period of time to go through these negotiations. Unfortunately, we find ourselves unable to proceed because agreements arrive at the last minute. That is the reality.
