We have been looking for something like this for quite some time as a sector. We want the flexibility to operate on the ground and to be able to respond to exactly these types of issues. We have used various schemes at various times to enable vacant property to be brought back into use by working with them and providing local grants through councils, which almost subsidises the rates over a period of time in order to get buildings back into use. The fact that the legislation is starting to come is critically important.
