Public Accounts Committee

2017 Annual Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General and Appropriation Accounts
Vote 34 - Housing, Planning and Local Government

9:00 am

Ms Jackie Maguire:

Yes, as it is on a lot of the schemes. For housing adaptation we have to come with 20% of the cost. This is met through internal resources such as receipts from the sale of houses or through our own revenue funding. We would have to fund other schemes by about 25%, especially capital schemes. If it is capital, it is funded though the development levies. If it is revenue spend it is through the revenue account and the council would make provisions within the budget each year.
