Fixed wireless is purposely designed to perform in a static context. The difference is one of nuance but it makes a world of difference. Fixed wireless technology has a committed information rate, which is a minimum speed that each connection is guaranteed to get for a download or an upload, irrespective of the time of day, how many users are on, what they are doing or how much they are downloading.
