One of my key questions is about how Imagine fits into the national broadband plan. My interpretation of what Mr. Bolger said in his opening statement is that the national broadband plan envisages 100% fixed-line fibre broadband connections to all homes and businesses in Ireland. That is what I picked up from what he said, but I do not think that is accurate. I think the national broadband plan envisages that about 5% of homes and businesses in the State are not connectable. They are in locations that are too far down a boreen to have any level of commercial or State interest in connecting them. That is where wireless service providers step in.
