Item No. 1916, from an individual, dated 31 January 2019, concerns the selection process followed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to create a panel for election observer rosters. As we have previously noted, the subject matter is not within the remit of the committee, which remains the case, but for information purposes we can request a note from the Department on the selection process used to form the election roster, the rationale thereof and why it appears that the Department did not pursue a competitive process.
