The recommendations were that the unit should be wound down, which it was; the traditional GIS should take over some of its functions while others should be devolved to line Departments; there should be a transition period that ended in July, which it did; the budget should be reduced by 50%, which it was. In fact, we reduced the Estimate in the Revised Estimates.
