The question about Garda vetting was put to the Chief State Solicitor's office but I should say the vetting process for the Office of the Attorney General, the Department of the Taoiseach and a number of other central Departments are twice as long as the six-week process which was mentioned because there are more requirements for some Departments than others, which the committee may not have been aware of.
