It would be reasonable to note that the Select Committee on Justice and Equality only last week took a very strong but justifiable stance against the practice of denying Members the opportunity to make a worthwhile contribution that was clearly in the interest of those who should be the net beneficiaries of the legislation we were discussing. We very much, as a committee, have echoed all of that.
