Impact of Brexit on Transport Sector: Discussion

The shortest route between Ireland and mainland Europe is to depart from Rosslare. What will happen if there are problems with the landbridge, time delays, backups or long queues? I have outlined the number of vehicles going from Rosslare to mainland Europe and the number of trucks per day which leave from Dublin Port and use the landbridge. There is a significant number of trucks using the landbridge. If there are problems, how confident is the Minister that there will be alternatives in place? He says his officials have met the relevant shipping companies. If a ship is needed to be put a service in place from Rosslare to France, do we know how quickly they will be able to respond?
