National Paediatric Hospital Development Board: Financial Statements 2017
9:00 am
Mr. Jim Breslin:
There will be some savings to be made but we know from access problems, waiting lists for paediatric care and so on that the capacity is going to be increased. I have mentioned some of the increases in capacity for day patients and outpatients. In total, there will be an increased budget. It will not all happen in 2022 when we open because are going to scale up, with new centres in Blanchardstown and Tallaght. Also, within the constituent hospitals, we will see a gradual move towards that higher figure. I would be happy to supply the Chairman with the current budgets of the three constituent hospitals and also the development budget for this year that we put aside for the Connolly satellite.
