When I came into the service, Mr. Ferns was also one of the volunteers in the Greystones unit. We had the telephone bills for the number one men, as they were called, around the country. They have now been replaced by Android mobile phones, so we are getting there. When we went around the coast we were able to preserve some of what we found, such as the old rocket carts, and pass that material on to the local communities.
