I move amendment No. 13:

In page 7, to delete lines 33 to 35 and substitute the following: “the committee shall comprise at least 20 members and all members shall have, or have had, a disability within the meaning of section 2(1) of the Disability Act 2005. Cognisance will be given to the nature of disability to ensure broad representation. This committee shall receive the funds, resources and facilitation required to effectively execute its duties, with particular reference to the needs of members for reasonable accommodation.”.”.

Unfortunately, scheduling means that I have a question in the Dáil in three or four minutes and must leave. The principle of the amendment is very simple. There is no reason all the members of the advisory committee should not be people who have or had a disability. I will press the amendment, but if the Minister of State wishes to comment, I ask that he be as concise as possible. Unfortunately, I will probably be absent.
