The second point is that these requirements are new so the Higher Education Institutions, HEI, and Knowledge Transfer Ireland, KTI, agreed that the HEI would carry out a review in 2019 of the implementation of the various recommendations. This is separate from the annual governance statements. The third component is the revised IP protocol. A protocol was devised in 2012 and there was an evolution of that in 2016 and there will be a further one in 2019, which will deal in more detail with spin-out companies and revenue sharing arrangements. That is a policy matter for the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation and, as was referenced earlier, that policy will be considered by the Government.
