Public Accounts Committee

2017 Annual Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General and Appropriation Accounts
Vote 21 - Prisons

9:00 am

Ms Caron McCaffrey:

Whether a prisoner is of basic or standard status would not necessarily interfere with the provision of services such as education. Prisoners on an enhanced regime have access to things over and above other prisoners, such as access to an additional phone call. The fact that a prisoner was of basic or standard status would not restrict access to education.
