I realise this is uncomfortable. I also realise the witnesses did not see it coming and nobody here was in post when mess committees were set up. I have been through the Templemore inquiry and this matter puts Templemore into the ha'penny place. I am not suggesting anybody set up a golf course, bought a field or anything like that with the proceeds but, based on the figures I have used, if we were to take an educated guess - and none of us is stupid - somebody certainly could have done that.
