May I make a proposal? The amendments have been tabled by the Minister of State, Deputy Canney, and by Senator McDowell. The committee split 50:50 on the first amendment, which proposed that the Bill proceed no further. The only thing that has changed is the position of the Chair, who in the original report agreed that the Bill should proceed to the next Stage.
