Mr. Mark Griffin:
I understand the concern of local farmers which was related primarily to the Gortmore tailings facility. Work was done to cover the spoil. Horses had been put on it and left to graze there. There was concern that it would disturb the land and lead to dust blowing. Through the Office of the Chief State Solicitor, CSSO, we are in discussions with the landowners on a suitable arrangement. We have asked them to take the horses off the land. We are discussing an appropriate arrangement for the management or ownership of the land, but the discussions have not progressed as quickly as we would have hoped. We are having difficulty in seeking regular engagement and a final conclusion.
