This is a different funding model. The Minister owns 100% of the MANs infrastructure. In this case, even though the State is going to put in whatever amount, and only God knows what the figure is at this stage, it will not own even 1% of the structure. The cable will run from the eir network or the MANs in the town to the houses five or ten miles away and even though the State will have paid a significant amount of the cost of providing it to the houses it will have zero ownership of it when it is complete.
