Lyme Disease: Discussion
9:00 am
Dr. John Lambert:
I am not sure a training programme will work if there is still a polarisation of views on whether patients can be treated longer. There has to be consensus among consultants. I refer to the debate between the IDSA and the ILADS on patient-centred treatment and not being prescriptive. Many barriers have to be broken down before an education programme would work and GPs would feel comfortable in prescribing properly for their patients.
