If we were to engage with a claimant and wanted to give him or her a level of compensation, we would still tell him or her that he or she had a right to take legal advice and would urge him or her to do so. If we were to agree a settlement in a particular case, it would be open to the person to reopen it at a later stage on the basis of an imbalance.
