As well as working on national issues, it would be remiss of this committee not to work and push this agenda at a European level. We need to examine what we should do in Ireland and we could lead in that space but we cannot ignore the need to work at a pan-European level. Given how long it takes to move things along in politics generally, we must not ignore our European neighbours in pushing something like this forward.
