The Government has already stated that it intends to begin the implementation of auto-enrolment in 2022. The time between now and then is to finalise the design, develop the legislation, do major communications and awareness campaigns, build the relevant information technology and any agency formats required to pursue it etc. There is much work to be done between now and 2022 but there is an absolute commitment to commencing in 2022.
