I thank Deputy O'Callaghan. As no other members appear to be indicating, it seems this is one of the easier passages for the Minister of State. No doubt we will have him back on that basis.

I thank the Minister of State again for his attendance and the detail of his contribution.

A message will be sent to both Houses of the Oireachtas that the Joint Committee on Justice and Equality has completed its consideration of these opt-in motions and we shall suspend for one minute to facilitate the arrival of our next set of witnesses.

Can I indicate to the members that, in line with our approach to this particular report on community policing and rural crime, we are starting the process with a photograph with our guests outside the committee room? If members can make their way out, we will have the opportunity to meet Assistant Chief Constable Alan Todd and Assistant Commissioners Pat Leahy and Michael Finn, the last of whom is known to the committee members.
