I agree with the amendment, which achieves what we set out to do, that is, to ensure that loan owners are regulated and authorised by the Central Bank. Securitisation can continue to operate and consumers will continue to be protected. The changes also provide for transitional authorisation for existing owners and are similar to the versions in the 2015 legislation.
