Exactly. Very few LNG plants have been built in Europe in the last decade because they are more expensive. They cannot compete with piped gas. The proposal for an LNG terminal on the Shannon has had full planning permission and all the consents for years. There is one reason it has not proceeded, which is that it would lose money because it not competitive with piped gas because of all the energy costs associated with it.
