In regard to Hampton Wood, that experience is being repeated elsewhere: companies such as Ires are buying large quantities of new housing and are advertising that they will give 130 units for HAP. The council has taken 50. I spoke to Brendan Kenny. He is looking for more. We are missing an opportunity. From an economic point of view it would be better if we bought those 50 and put them into social housing. We would save ourselves money.
