I thank the witnesses for coming in today and apologise for keeping them waiting for so long but, unfortunately, we had two items on the agenda today. I wish to return to the point Ms Murdock finished up on in respect of the legislation that is going through the Dáil. I believe part of it is disproportionate, but I have had my say. I am totally opposed to the filibustering that is going on at the moment. In the opinion of the witness, what message is it sending to the people who have lost a loved one as result of a motor traffic accident? I would ask those in engaged in this to refrain from doing it and to allow the Dáil, the democratically elected people, have their say on this legislation.

From what has been said here, the key aspect of any legislation is enforcement. What is the current strength of our traffic corps today?
