I welcome Professor Alan Barrett of the Economic and Social Research Institute, ESRI, who is joined by his colleagues Professor Kieran McQuinn and Dr. Maev-Ann Wren. I thank them for coming before the committee. The committee is carrying out its pre-budget scrutiny before the summer and we are very interested in hearing from the witnesses in the run up to the national economic dialogue and the publication of the summer economic statement.
