The changes in practice and procedure to ensure the effective and efficient running a substantial Department are ongoing. A specially designed committee within the Department meets on a regular basis. It ensures the process works in tandem with the externally chaired change and implementation group. The recommendations of the Toland and EY report will be implemented over a period and will result in substantial reform within the Department of Justice and Equality. I am awaiting delivery of the Ó Riordáin report, which I expect within the next four weeks.
