Before I open up the discussion to members, I ask the third level educators to outline quickly the changes that are being made in the junior cycle curriculum around the practical application of the teaching of home economics. How will this propose to improve the ability of teachers to teach the subject and, it is hoped, bring a good level of retention within students? This is for the information of the committee.
