I acknowledge the reason Deputy O'Dea has proposed this amendment, and I believe it is reasonable. I also see where Deputy Brady is coming from. Perhaps we could agree on a period of six months; the legislation will require a period of time to bed in. I signed that charter as well, and I am very eager that some of the exploitative practices that occur are ended, and this amendment helps to do that. The Minister has brought forward worthy legislation, and various amendments have been put forward today that would strengthen the legislation and make a big impact for workers. I believe six months is a reasonable period for the enactment of this legislation.
