Resolution of Non-Performing Loans: Discussion (Resumed)
10:00 am
Mr. David Hall:
Every year I send a ceremonial sequence of letters highlighting the same concerns. Mr. Burgess mentioned an additional payment earlier. We also made an additional payment. We actually went a step further. In regard to one of Mr. Burgess's points, we also said that any person who appears before a court should have a personal insolvency practitioner complete what is called an affordability statement giving the registrar or the judge a clear understanding of the financial circumstances of the person before the court.
On dealing with the Department, I deal with banks, vulture funds and the political system and I still cannot deal properly with the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government.
