As a former MEP I would say it is at a different level, but we are responsible too.

Dr. Henry and Dr. McKenna are aware of all these documents to which I am referring. In fairness, without me even raising it, they spoke to another Deputy earlier about when they became aware of the issues. I say to Mr. Connaghan that I wish Mr. Woods and Mr. Lynch were here so we could round the circle as regards who knew what. In fairness to Dr. Henry, it appears he made some efforts to try to escalate this matter. Dr. McKenna was aware of this. It is good to have these documents, which are published now on the Committee of Public Accounts website, but reading them would be incomprehensible to normal people. Vicky Phelan is watching this meeting, and there are families out there watching it, and they do not understand why somebody did not just shout "Stop". I say genuinely to Mr. Connaghan that directors were aware of this. At directorate level, Mr. Woods and Mr. Lynch were aware of it. If I remember rightly, Mr. Woods said he referred it to Dr. O'Keeffe. I would like to see a copy of that document because we do not have a copy of it so I would appreciate it if it were supplied it to the committee.
