The risk committee would only be informed that it was a potential risk if it was reviewing the risk register for the health and well being division. As was said earlier, risk management is led locally and is only escalated where further support outside of the organisation is required. The screening programme would have been looking at this audit as a control measure as opposed to a risk. At the time when it would have been looking at this, the audit was a control measure for quality assurance. There was not a risk in the audit. One would normally conduct an audit as a control measure to address a risk.
