There is a quite a lengthy passage in the review about what they said. At the bottom of page 10, it states that the editors of four newspapers were asked whether they had been pressurised to promote local candidates. Specific claims had been made in respect of the certain newspapers, namely, the Limerick Leader, Roscommon Herald, Longford Leaderand Sunday World. All the regional editors confirmed no directions were received from civil servants in respect of any aspect of content.
