The Government would come to us directly if there was a particular project. The 1916 project was a good example. RTÉ found itself financially challenged. There were a lot of big projects that we wanted to broadcast for 1916 and we could not have done it without the support of certain Departments, such as the then Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs and the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment.
