My understanding of Vicky Phelan's case, and I am not a doctor, is it was not within the normal range of statistical error and, in fact, when they went to look back it was not that she had had a missed diagnosis and that test had missed the early stages of cancer but, in fact, by the time she had her first test her cancer was far advanced.

I ask Mr. Gleeson to correct me if I am wrong in that regard. Will he also advise me on the margin of error? Are the figures within the margin of error or outside it? If the latter is the case, are the figures at the higher end of normal?
