There are two key issues. On the question of the simplification of the Common Agricultural Policy, despite all the reviews there have been in the past 30 or 40 years, it has not got much simpler. What commitments can the Commissioner give us that it will be simplified this time?

On a more sombre note, farm safety is a key issue right around Europe and we have experienced lots of incidents in Ireland over the years. Can something be included in the new CAP to address the issue?
