In the recommendations on the section 620 report the Policing Authority gave to the committee, on the selection process for the Garda Commissioner and the deputy Garda commissioner, the Policing Authority says it is looking for the process to be simpler and for there to be greater flexibility in respect of it forward. Will the witnesses enlighten members as to what they perceive to be the current stumbling blocks in this regard? What areas do the witness think of when they say that?
