At the request of the Broadcasting Unit, members, witnesses and persons in the Gallery are asked to ensure that for the duration of the meeting, their mobile phones are switched off completely or switched to airplane, safe or flight mode, depending on the device. It is not sufficient merely to place the phone in silent mode as it will maintain a level of interference with the broadcasting system.

No. 6 is scrutiny of EU legislative proposals. Before we begin, we will record the decision we made in private session on COM (2017) 753, proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and the Council on the quality of water intended for human consumption (recast). Due to the significance and potential implications of the proposal, it is proposed that further scrutiny be undertaken. It is proposed to invite representatives of the Department and relevant stakeholders to attend a meeting of the committee on 21 March 2018 to discuss the proposal in detail. Is that agreed? Agreed.
