Fortunately, in the main, inspections are made by our colleagues in the Garda Inspectorate. In so far as we can go into Garda stations to carry out searches, there is provision to do so and we have had to use it sparingly. As I stated, in the main, we have had no difficulty in going into Garda stations where we have been required to do so. We would, however, like more clarity between GSOC and the Garda on the actual carrying out of these procedures. This has been a matter on which we had to negotiate in the past.
