It might but at the end of the day, why are we not entitled to an Accounting Officer? The Policing Authority has an Accounting Officer. The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission has an Accounting Officer. They are both public service bodies with a particular brief that is not that far away from our own brief. I suspect that if we had been set up in 2015 or 2016, we would have had our Accounting Officer.
