I concur with Deputy Mitchell. I think for us to get involved in matters of such importance to the organisation would predetermine them. While I have the greatest of respect for members, a question might be asked in a particular way and answered in a particular way that might prejudice Scouting Ireland's internal findings on the matter.

Once a copy of the child protection policy within Scouting Ireland is provided to the committee, I will circulate it to all members and the Minister. I will also copy the Minister on the letter for her information.
