Public Accounts Committee

Comptroller and Auditor General 2016 Report
Chapter 20: Corporation Tax Receipts (Resumed)

9:00 am

Mr. Niall Cody:

ASI and AOE. In that context we have to engage with the company on the figures. Then we have to agree the figures with the European Commission on each of the years and the calculations. That process has been ongoing. Figures get sent over to the Commission; it feeds back to us; we have meetings; and that process is continuing. We have agreed with the Commission that all our calculations - the final number of calculations - will be with it before the end of April and then it is a matter of how long they take to come back to us. When the escrow arrangement is in place, the plan is that money will start being lodged even before the final figures are calculated. It is just for the information of the committee.
