At the request of the broadcasting and recording services, members and visitors in the Gallery are asked to ensure that for the duration of the meeting their mobile phones are turned off completely or switched to airplane, safe or flight mode depending on their device. It is not sufficient to put the phones in silent mode as this will maintain a level of interference with the broadcasting system.

No. 6 is scrutiny of EU legislative proposals. Before we begin, we will record our decision on EU scrutiny COM (2017) 772, proposal for a decision of the European Parliament and of the Council amending decision No. 1313/2013/ EU on a Union Civil Protection Mechanism. It is proposed that there are no subsidiarity concerns with the proposal but it is proposed that it does warrant further scrutiny. It is proposed that the committee write to the lead Department seeking clarification on certain aspects of the proposal. Is that agreed? Agreed.
